King attends JAF ceremony marking national occasions
Nayrouz News Agency : His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, accompanied by HRH Crown Prince Hussein, on Wednesday attended a ceremony held by the JAF at the Martyr’s Memorial on the occasions of Accession to the Throne Day, the Great Arab Revolt anniversary, and Army Day.

Upon arrival at the venue, King Abdullah was welcomed by a 21-gun salute and was received by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, according to a Royal Court statement. 

His Majesty laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and recited verses from the Holy Koran. The King also toured various facilities of the Martyr’s Memorial and signed the guestbook.

His Majesty bestowed medals on distinguished military and security personnel, in appreciation for their sacrifice and dedication to serve the nation and safeguard its security.

The ceremony, attended by Their Royal Highnesses Prince Feisal, Prince Hashim and Prince Rashid, included the screening of a short video on the efforts of JAF and security agencies to protect the country.

Prime Minister Omar Razzaz, General Intelligence Department Director Maj. Gen. Ahmad Husni, and Public Security Directorate Director Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh attended the ceremony.
