The weather will be hot in mountainous areas and very hot weather in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, with light winds turning into northwesterly moderate winds in the afternoon, according to the weather department.
The air mass’ impact is forecast to continue on Monday with the weather remaining very hot.
The JMD has issued a warning about standing under direct sunlight for extended periods, especially at noon, and also warned about low-visibility in Badia areas due to dust.
On Tuesday, the JMD forecast a slight decrease in temperatures with relatively hot weather in mountainous areas, and hot weather in the rest of the Kingdom and northwesterly moderate to brisk winds.
In Amman, the weather department forecast temperatures to reach a high of 38°C and a low of 24°C on Sunday and Monday, and drop slightly on Tuesday, ranging between 36°C and 23°C.
Temperatures in Aqaba are forecast to reach a high of 42°C and a low of 30°C on Sunday, 43°C and 31°C on Monday, and 42°C and 30°C on Tuesday, according to the JMD.
