Mortal remains of Jordanian soldier killed in 1967 war laid to rest
Nayrouz News Agency : The Assistant Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) for Administration and Manpower on Thursday participated in a ceremony to transfer the mortal remains of a Jordanian soldier who was killed in the 1967 war in Nablus’ Beta town to the Islamic cemetery there.

The JAF had earlier announced that it was following up on the process of identifying the soldier in coordination with the Jordanian embassy in Ramallah, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The soldier was buried on the side of the main road connecting Ramallah and Nablus, and when Israel used its military vehicles to remove the tomb to build a settlement road, the residents of Beta informed the Jordanian embassy.

In cooperation with the concerned authorities, the embassy initiated procedures to transfer the mortal remains. The JAF praised the efforts of Nablus officials and residents, which reflect the "brotherly relations” between the two peoples.
