During a meeting with PSD Director Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh and senior PSD officers, attended by HRH Crown Prince Hussein, the King praised the efforts of all gendarmerie, civil defence and public security personnel, according to a Royal Court statement.

His Majesty also noted the efforts of security agencies to crack down on wanted persons, especially with regard to the Zarqa crime and the ongoing security campaign against racketeering and lawless behaviour, urging stepping up efforts to safeguard society, the statement said.

Moreover, the King expressed appreciation of the PSD’s measures and the assistance it extends to the public amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, reaffirming that protecting citizens’ health is a priority.

His Majesty voiced confidence in the ability of security agencies to maintain a safe and smooth electoral process, according to the statement.
