Al Baddad Group to build field hospitals in Jordan

Jordanian businessmen Fateen and Zayed Al Baddad on Sunday announced plans to construct field hospitals in Jordan,  the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. 

Fateen Al Baddad, chairman of Al Baddad Capital, said that the hospitals are set up in 15 days and can accommodate 200 to 1,200 beds, adding that they can be transformed into permanent hospitals to provide general medical services.

Baddad also noted that Al Baddad Medtech constructed 114 field hospitals, aiding 27 countries in their fight against COVID-19, including the US, Italy, Algeria, Spain, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman and Libya. 

The hospitals are equipped with beds, ICU rooms supplied with oxygen and other high-tech medical devices, he added.

The chairman said that the spread of COVID-19, which has become the centre of the world’s attention, stimulated "a sense of innovation” and encouraged incorporation of the latest medical developments accredited by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and health ministries around the world.

Zayed Al Baddad, the company’s CEO, noted that Al Baddad Group currently includes 4,500 employees, among which 350 are Jordanian engineers and technicians, adding that the company has set a Guinness World Record in creating prefabricated housing, warehouses and tents along with providing aircraft maintenance and airport services. 

The Al Baddad Group is currently witnessing an international expansion, adhering to international, scientific standards, Petra reported
