Transport Minister Marwan Khitan on Tuesday discussed ways to bolster cooperation with President of the Jordan Engineers Association (JEA) Ahmad Zu’bi, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During the meeting, the ministry and the JEA signed numerous memoranda of understanding, which aim at developing the skills of engineers and preparing them for the workforce, Petra reported.
The minister noted that current circumstances require benefiting from the expertise of the JEA, calling for holding joint workshops to develop the competence of ministry personnel and providing training programmes for fresh graduates.
JEA’s General Secretary Ali Naser said that the Engineers Training Centre is the only accredited centre by the Federation of Arab Engineers, adding that it holds regular seminars, workshops and lectures to upskill employees’ professional abilities.
