A slight rise in temperatures is forecast on Sunday, so fair weather conditions will prevail until Monday nationwide, with clouds at various altitudes and southeasterly moderate winds, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
On Tuesday, mercury levels will drop few degrees, but moderate weather will remain during the day time. Gradually through the evening, the Kingdom will be affected by unstable weather conditions, as clouds will build up and rain will fall in various areas of the country, mainly in the easterly and southeasterly regions, the department predicted.
Rainfall is expected to turn heavy accompanied by thunder and hail at times, causing flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas, while winds will be southeasterly moderate to brisk, stirring dust in the Badia areas.
Daytime temperatures expected for today will reach 17 degrees Celsius in Amman, 14 in the northern cities and 15 in the southern highlands, dropping down at night to 9, 7 and 6C respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 25 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 18 degrees at night.
