Jordan, Egypt discuss ways to overcome trade obstacles
Nayrouz News Agency :
The head of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC), Nael Kabariti, stressed the importance of overcoming trade and export obstacles between Jordan and Egypt, especially transit delivery of Jordanian goods.
The Jordanian trade sector faces obstacles imposed by the Egyptian authorities, especially transit commodities exported to other countries en route the Egyptian territory, Kabariti told head of economic office at the Egyptian Embassy in Amman, Mona Abboud, during their talks on Thursday.
According to a JCC press statement, Kabariti stressed the need for joint action to enhance bilateral economic cooperation to build partnerships and investment projects between the two sides, establish strategic relation and facilitate entry into the Iraqi market.
In turn, Abboud said the obstacles that Jordanian merchants face on the Egyptian borders will be "followed up to solve them as soon as possible" so as not to affect the joint economic and trade relations.
