Petra’s ancient Treasury was lit up with candles on Saturday to mark His Majesty King Abdullah’s birthday.

Chief Commissioner of Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority (PDTRA) Suleiman Farajat said that the celebration expresses pride in the Hashemite leadership, highlighting that the rose-red city has witnessed several achievements during His Majesty’s reign, including becoming one of the top global tourist destinations.

PDTRA lights up the ancient city to mark several national days, with this year’s light works taking the shape of 59.
