The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Tuesday condemned the ongoing attempts by Yemen's Houthi group to target civilian areas in Saudi Arabia, the last of which was a military projectile that was fired at one of the border villages in the Jazan region, leaving five civilians injured.
In a statement, Ministry spokesman Daifallah Al-Fayez affirmed Jordan’s strong condemnation and denunciation of this "cowardly terrorist act" and the targeting of innocent civilians, which is a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.
He also stressed that Jordan fully stands by Saudi Arabia in the face of any threat to its security, saying that the security of the two kingdoms is one and is inseparable, and wishing the injured speedy recovery, according to the statement.
