Amman Attorney General Hassan Abdallat on Saturday said that five officials from the New Salt Hospital were ordered detained for one week at a correctional and rehabilitation centre over seven counts of charges of causing death by association.
The seven COVID patients died after a disruption of oxygen supply in the hospital on Saturday morning.
Abdallat said the five officials included the hospital’s director and three of his assistants, namely assistant for services and supply, assistant for medical affairs, and assistant for administrative affairs, in addition to the head of supply chain. Abdallat added that Salt Prosecutor General has ordered their detention for one week, noting that investigations are still ongoing, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
