Productive Youth Initiative adds glitter to glass painting business
Nayrouz News Agency :
Moutasm Al Bazlamit’s glass painting business received an added layer of glitter after receiving training through a Royal project.

As part of the Productive Youth Initiative, launched by the Royal Hashemite Court in 2019, Bazlamit received training directed towards enhancing his handicraft business.

"It all started in my small room,” Bazlamit told The Jordan Times.

Bazlamit was among the beneficiaries of the Productive Youth Initiative who showcased their products to Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania last Tuesday.

"After extensive training and dedication, I am proud to have my products viewed by Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania,” he said.

According to Princess Taghrid Institute for Development and Training, which had a role in the implementation of the initiative, 35 young Jordanians have received training in the first phase to enhance the quality of their products and market them online following international standards.

"Being trained by professionals at the Princess Taghrid institute benefited me a lot,” said Bazlamit, adding that he received special attention during training sessions and always had experts following-up on his work, making sure that his handicraft project witnessed continuous development.

It is worth noting that the training was not all vocational. "I learned a lot of skills. My favourites were creative thinking skills and e-marketing. I did not only learn how to develop my art but also how to think outside of the box and attract more people to see my work globally, especially using online platforms,” Bazlamit noted.

"I continually apply everything I acquired from the training in my project,” stated Bazlamit.
