Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Monday stressed the armed forces and security agencies’ ability to deal with any developments at the local and regional levels and face all threats on border crossings, as well as handle any attempts to destabilise the Kingdom’s security.
Huneiti’s remarks came during a tactical military drill implemented by the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Rapid Intervention/High Readiness Brigade, the King Abdullah II Special Forces Group and Eastern Military Region's Sixth Battalion of Border Guards of the Royal Air Force, the Jordan News agency, Petra, reported.
During the visit, Huneiti was briefed on the drill simulating expected scenarios. Highlighting the importance of Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) personnel’s role, Huneiti conveyed His Majesty King Abdullah’s, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, greetings to JAF personnel.
