CPF, NIMD sign agreement to offer leadership training for youth
Nayrouz News Agency :
The Crown Prince Foundation (CPF) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy (NIMD) in Jordan with a view to roll out youth-oriented leadership and training programmes.

The memorandum, which was signed by CPF CEO Tamam Mango and NIMD's resident representative in Amman Rami Adwan, also aims at offering training to around 300 young men and women who are currently enrolled in the CPF's various programmes, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Mango expressed happiness for the working partnership with NIMD, as this partnership will provide important and intensive training opportunities for a number of distinguished young men and women who have proven to be highly qualified within the foundation’s initiatives.

She added that the partnership will enhance the capabilities of young people and their knowledge of political participation and advocacy, and will introduce them to the concepts of political action and positive participation.

Mango explained that business partnership between the CPF and NIMD began its preparatory stages last year, when training sessions were implemented for more than 60 young men and women on the skills of political participation.

She indicated that this partnership, which will last for the next three years, will be one of the partnerships with a significant positive impact to enhance the capabilities of young men and women to make a difference in their societies.

For his part, Adwan said that NIMD is happy to conclude this partnership with the CPF, stressing that both sides will work together to prepare young activists for positive participation and contribute to addressing issues of concern to them through effective public action tools and by pursuing a culture of dialogue.

NIMD, which operates in several countries around the world, was established as an independent non-governmental organisation in 2000 by seven Dutch parties with the purpose of supporting multi-partyism and building the capacities of politically active youth.
