Education minister attends Jordan Tech Heroes competition

 Deputising for HRH Crown Prince Hussein, Education Minister Mohammad Abu Qudais on Tuesday attended 2021 Jordan Tech Heroes competition, organised by Eurika, in cooperation with Al Hussein Technical University (HTU).

Speaking to the attendees, Abu Qudais emphasised the importance of the event aimed to support innovation, reiterating Jordanian educational institutions’ keenness on empowering students and building "a culture of distinction”, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The competition included 13 top achievers from King Abdullah II Schools for Excellence in the field of technology. The first stage of the national technological project was launched during the second semester of the 2020/2021 scholastic year, starting from King Abdullah II Schools for Excellence, which included 700 students from 13 schools across the Kingdom.

Supported by the Plan International Organsation, the project offered programming and artificial intelligence courses.
