The State Security Court (SSC) on Monday sentenced two people convicted of attempting to smuggle narcotic substances to the Kingdom from a neighbouring country to 12 years in prison with hard labour and a fine of JD10,000.
The court acquitted two other defendants in the case, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
According to the charge sheet, security agencies seized 263,000 pills and 35 palm-sized sheets of hashish weighing six kilogrammes from the convicts.
