His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday received Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammad Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.
The meeting, attended by HRH Crown Prince Hussein, covered means of enhancing cooperation across all sectors, especially the economy and investment, as well as means of reaching political solutions to regional crises, according to a Royal Court statement.
The King reiterated the centrality of the Palestinian cause, and the importance of stepping up efforts towards reaching just and comprehensive peace, on the basis of the two-state solution, guaranteeing the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The meeting also covered maintaining coordination and consultation in service of the two countries’ shared interests and Arab causes, according to the statement.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan, the accompanying Qatari delegation, and Qatar’s Ambassador to Jordan Sheikh Saud Bin Nasser Al Thani attended the meeting.
