JSF index gauges COVID impact on societal wellbeing in Jordan
Nayrouz News Agency :
The coronavirus pandemic and refugee arrivals have impacted the lives of Jordanians, according to the Jordan Strategy Forum’s (JSF) recently released Jordan Prosperity Index (JPI).

The JPI measures the wellbeing and quality of life in the Kingdom in 2020, according to a JSF statement.

The report said that the main qualitative prosperity indicator reached its highest level in 2018 at 162 points, while its lowest level was in 2013 at only 139 points.  In 2019, the level decreased to 146, but reached 152 in 2020.

The "inclusive society” sub-indicator varied between a maximum of 162 points in 2009 and a minimum of 136 points in 2013, the statement said.

The indicator of qualitative wellbeing of investment and growth increased from 159 in 2019 to 172 in 2020, thanks to Jordan’s progress in labour skills, market dominance and protection of intellectual property and property rights, according to the statement.

The JSF is a not-for-profit organisation representing a group of Jordanian private sector companies.
