Nayrouz News Agency :
His Majesty King Abdullah, during a briefing on the government’s economic priorities on Sunday, directed the government to take timely measures to make the impact of its economic priorities tangible for citizens and the private sector, urging a monthly progress report.

Chairing part of a Cabinet meeting, attended by HRH Crown Prince Hussein, King Abdullah urged all to shoulder their responsibility in translating these priorities into tangible outcomes, according to a Royal Court statement.

His Majesty emphasised the need to efficiently capitalise on available opportunities to counter unemployment and re-stimulate growth, highlighting the importance of striving for recovery from the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The King noted the importance of maintaining dialogue, partnership, and teamwork with the private sector, as well as streamlining procedures and lowering fees for Jordanian and foreign investors.

Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh outlined the government’s economic priorities for the years 2021-2023, which include enhancing the climate for investments and doing business, stepping up competitiveness, stimulating the private sector, and supporting priority economic sectors including ICT, agriculture, industry, tourism and energy.
