The Indian embassy in Jordan on Sunday celebrated Onam, the harvest festival of the southern Indian state of Kerala. India’s Ambassador to Jordan Anwar Haleem inaugurated the festivities by lighting a traditional ceremonial lamp, according to an embassy statement.

The ambassador conveyed his best wishes on the occasion, highlighting the "rich cultural heritage and diversity of India".
