Jordanian truckers to obtain entry visas to Iraqi marketJCI

The Jordan Chamber of Industry (JCI) has informed companies operating in the industrial sector that visas will soon be granted to Jordanian truck drivers to deliver local goods to the Iraqi market.

The JCI, in a a circular sent to the companies on Saturday, said Iraqi trucks will be allowed to enter Jordanian soil , in implementation of the government's decision to allow goods shipment between the two countries according to "door-to-door" mechanism.

Industrial companies are requested to ask Jordanian truck drivers delivering their shipments to Iraq, to visit Jordan Truck Owners Association (JTOA), as of tomorrow to follow up on obtaining entry visas to Iraqi lands, the JCI noted.

Last Thursday, Minister of Transport, Wajih Azaiza, announced Jordanian trucks will enter Iraq, adding that granting visas to truckers will begin early this week
