Nayrouz News Agency :

The Minister of از Education and Higher Education, Dr. Wajih Owais, confirmed that he decided to raise the acceptance rate of repeat students in public universities to 20%.

Owais added that a large percentage of these students want to enter the specialties of medicine and dentistry, and there is objection by universities due to their reaching the top of the absorptive capacity, pointing out that there are no solutions other than their acceptance despite the impact on the quality of education.

He said that the main mistake was allowing these students to apply more than once to raise the average, which has caused us to get into a problem now with university admission, stressing that the ministry is obliged to solve the issue.

We suggest that a student wishing to raise the rate is allowed to repeat only once.
