Jordan, Qatars Suhail group sign employment memo

The Labour Ministry and Qatar's Suhail Industrial Holding Group Wednesday signed a 3-year memo to employ 200 Jordanians annually in Qatar in vocational training, car maintenance and professional leadership.

Minister of Labour Nayef Istitieh and CEO of Suhail Ziad Aboukaloub signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Amman.

Stetiyeh said that the MoU is in response to the initiative of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to leverage Jordanian expertise in Qatar.

Stetiyeh said that 9,500 Jordanians were employed in Qatar and that 10,000 others will follow. 

The Qatari ambassador in Amman, Sheikh Saud bin Nasser Al Thani, said that what the Suhail Group had done came in response to the initiative of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to employ Jordanians in the Qatari private sector.
