Royal Initiatives: Development, housing projects launched in Mafraq
Nayrouz News Agency :

Under His Majesty King Abdullah's directives, Royal Court Chief Yousef Issawi Thursday unveiled a new package of development projects in the Mafraq governorate as part of the royal initiatives.

The projects entail the construction of 100 homes for low-income families, establishing a factory within the "productive branches" initiative, which will create 200-400 job opportunities for members of the local community, in addition to expanding the Mafraq Public Hospital's clinics building and constructing a new emergency building.

Issawi, head of the committee to follow up on the implementation of the royal initiatives, told a meeting with dignitaries and youth and women activists in Mafraq that the new projects will be carried out according to a timeframe and in cooperation with the relevant government agencies and partners.

He underscored His Majesty's commitment to reaching out to Jordanians, hearing their concerns, and instructing relevant authorities to look over their demands and implement the ones that are doable through royal initiatives, while keeping in mind priorities and capabilities.

He stated that the royal initiatives launched by His Majesty are aimed at providing decent livelihoods and improving economic conditions for Jordanians across the Kingdom, through implementing various development projects. This reflects His Majesty's vision to ensure that the gains and proceeds of development are distributed equitably to all regions to achieve sustainable social and economic development.

For their part, local leaders commended the King's efforts to develop Jordan and create a better future for the next generation, as well as His Majesty's political efforts to serve the Muslim and Arab nations.

Their demands focused on finding solutions to the problems of poverty and unemployment in their region, support farmers, agricultural projects and employment programs through productive and job-generating projects, in addition to improving health, educational, cultural and infrastructure services, supporting charities and sports clubs and attracting investments to the region
