The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO) has embarked on implementing its 2022 Ramadan campaign for the fourth year in a row, which aims to secure iftar (sunset meals to end fasting) and food parcels for underprivileged families in the Kingdom's various governorates.
The JHCO and its partners' efforts in the humanitarian sector seek to reach beneficiaries in various governorates by distributing food parcels within the network of charitable societies registered in the JHCO's lists, according to its statement issued Sunday.
The campaign will also include distribution of food parcels and iftar meals in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, in coordination with the official Palestinian authorities, the statement said.
To ensure sustainable action, the JHCO will receive donations through its website (www.jhco.org.jo). The value of the food parcel and iftar meal are JD25, and is JD3.5, respectively, the statement noted.
In press remarks, the JHCO, Dr. Hussein Shibli, said the organization has launched a donation initiative covering the public and private sectors to help underprivileged families countrywide, which strengthens the society's solidarity.
