Constitution of Jordan now available in Braille
Nayrouz News Agency :

Visually impaired Jordanians will now have the opportunity to read the Kingdom's Constitution in braille. This is the first time the Jordanian Constitution is translated into this tactile writing system. The translation was announced Thursday by the Ministry of Culture.

Minister Haifa Najjar said the move came in implementation of His Majesty King Abdullah's directives to empower the disabled and ensure their full integration into society, adding: "It is our duty to stand by this important segment of society and integrate them, facilitate their lives, and arm them with science and knowledge to enable them to exercise their rights and freedoms.

She said copies of the Constitution in braille would be distributed to all concerned agencies so that the visually impaired will be able to read the Constitution, and understand their rights and freedoms.
