Orange Corners programme advisor, Ramiro Gomes Monteiro visited the Agricultural Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubator at the National Agricultural Research Center (NARC) today, a programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands executed by the Netherlands Enterprise and Development Agency, to discuss ways of future cooperation in the areas of innovation, leadership and creativity.
The Director General of NARC, Dr. Nizar Haddad, expressed his felicity on this visit as it comes within the framework of research for partnership to extend linkages for future cooperation with partners to develop and support scientific research, through training and qualifying entrepreneurs, encouraging innovation and providing the necessary infrastructure to create a real environment to embrace innovation, and supporting emerging project; which in turn promotes job creation for youth and empowers them to be productive individuals.
Haddad briefed the delegation on the Agricultural Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubator and the pioneering projects embraced within, and the extent of its reflection on the agricultural sector to be a ground for modernization and development to promote the adoption of modern agricultural technologies.
Mr. Ramiro Gomes, the Orange Corners programme advisor, commended on the infrastructure of the incubator and the pioneering role it plays in embracing entrepreneurs and innovators, and its clear reflection on supporting entrepreneurs and young people, mentioning that the Orange Corners programme targets entrepreneurs in the Middle East and Africa and provide technical and logistical support by providing high quality training, networks, facilities and a wide array of other relevant employment activities to local start-ups, in addition that it has set up programmes in 19 cities in 13 countries, among which are Morocco, Algeria, Iraq, Sudan, Nigeria, and South-Africa.
During the visit, Mr. Ramiro stated that the Orange Corners Programme is looking forward to more constructive and fruitful cooperation with NARC to support entrepreneurs and start-ups.
