A Jordanian peacekeeper was killed while on duty as part of the Rapid Deployment Force Mali 2 with the peacekeeping mission in Mali, an official source at the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) said on Thursday.
The JAF mourned the death of First Sergeant Jameel Mahmoud Matrouk and expressed condolences to his family.
The JAF participation is part of its continuous role in international UN peacekeeping forces, offering help to peoples in conflict zones in the world.
