Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC) Chairman, Nael Kabariti, on Saturday discussed with US Embassy Economic Counsellor, Kevin Scullen, ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in many economic fields of common interest.
Kabariti stressed, according to a JCC statement, the "deep-rooted" bilateral relations in many fields, and underlined Jordan's keenness to enhance its trade with the United States, lauding US support for the Kingdom.
Kabariti also pointed to the importance of increasing and enhancing the cooperation level, especially with regard to joint trade and investment relations, and noted the importance of working to increase volume of Jordanian exports to the US market.
Noting the "great and wide" opportunities for bilateral cooperation, he said Jordan has a "developed" business environment and an "attractive" investment climate, due to the Kingdom's security, stability and high level of infrastructure and advanced services in various fields.
In addition, Kabariti referred to the "promising" potentials in many vital sectors, which should receive attention and support, due to their "high" importance in increasing growth rate of the Kingdom's national economy, and reducing unemployment rates, particularly health, drugs, tourism, medical tourism, services and information technology.
The US official affirmed the embassy's commitment to support Jordan's economic activity and work to reduce its economic burdens, as a result of the global economic conditions.
