During SOFEX 2022, the spokesperson of Jordan Design and Development Bureau (JODDB), Head of the Sales and Business Strategy Department, Eng. Rateb Abu Al-Ragheb announced that JODDB and its subsidiaries signed and activated a number of cooperation agreements and sales contracts.
Abu Al-Ragheb stated that a number of purchase contracts for defense systems and security solutions produced by JODDB and its subsidiaries were concluded and activated with many local and international companies and organizations that worth about 70 million USD. The contracts included the supply of many armies, security agencies and defense manufacturers with armored military and security tactical vehicles and related equipment, in addition to, ambulances, jamming and anti-drone systems. The contracts also included the supply of personal protective gear (bulletproof helmets, vests and plates) and multiple weapons and ammunition and night vision sights. In terms of services, multiple contracts were signed with a number of major defense industry companies in the Middle East to provide test and evaluation services and specialized courses in the fields of defense, cybersecurity and future technology projects.
Abu Al-Ragheb also emphasized that Jordan Design and Development Bureau (JODDB), in light of its strategic plans to expand the localization of defense industries and advanced technologies and on the sidelines of SOFEX 2022, signed and activated more than (10) cooperation agreements and memorandums of understanding with several local and international entities and companies with the aim of transferring and exchanging technology and knowledge, and enhancing localization in the fields of defense and security industries, future technologies and cybersecurity. Abu Al-Ragheb stated that some of these agreements aim at enhancing the integration between the public and private sectors and supporting local startups.
Abu Al-Ragheb pointed out that the SOFEX is an important platform to connect defense and security industry companies to exchange experiences and knowledge. In addition, the exhibition provides a marketing opportunity for the exhibiting companies, especially with the presence of senior leaders, decision makers and military and security officials from more than 98 countries around the world to display the latest security and defense equipment
