Amman, July 23 (Petra) - The National Center for Innovation (NCI) has represented Jordan in a global symposium on scientific and technological innovation and integration for developing countries, organized by the Center for International Economic Cooperation in Fujian Province, China.
The goal of the participation was to establish a national system that is productive and active, in line with the objectives of comprehensive and sustainable development, and to also locate partnerships that can provide support for scientific research activities, technological advancements, and innovations, said a statement by NCI on Sunday.
The symposium garnered significant interest due to its emphasis on investing in new infrastructure, 5G technology, smart cities, and artificial intelligence to promote economic growth and prosperity.
It consisted of workshops and tours to various cities in China, as well as visits to several relevant companies, factories, and innovation laboratories.
Hussam Khasawneh, Chairman of NCI, emphasized the significance of the meeting that focused on modern topics such as intellectual property, patents, and the application of innovation in problem-solving.
