Cabinet okays telehealth bylaw
Nayrouz News Agency :

The Cabinet, in a session Wednesday chaired by Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh, approved the enforcement of a telehealth care bylaw for 2023, which aligns with the economic modernization vision and the core objective of improving the quality of life and welfare for all citizens, while adapting to technological transformations.

Furthermore, the bylaw allows for facilitating access to remote healthcare and medical services throughout the kingdom utilizing electronic means. This applies when service providers are not physically located together or in proximity to the patient.

The implementation of an innovative healthcare bylaw is set to reduce treatment expenses and ease the burden on hospitals by incorporating self-management solutions and remote monitoring.

Also today, the Cabinet endorsed the special affairs of the military-insured personnel bill for 2023, which regulates the provisions and mechanisms for settling the rights of military-insured individuals in different cases and situations they may experience.

The law addresses the issue of dual coverage for military-insured persons and regulates the provisions related to their reassignment, deployment, secondment, or assigning them to work in another facility.

The Council of Ministers also okayed the recommendations of the Settlement and Reconciliation Committee formed according to the basis for settling the outstanding issues between taxpayers and the Income and Sales Tax Department, to settle the tax conditions of 685 companies and taxpayers, who had obligations in accordance with the provisions of the Income Tax Law and the General Sales Tax Law.
