Minister of Labor and Industry, Trade and Supply Youssef Shamali discussed on Sunday with the President of the Private Hospitals Association Dr. Nael Masalha, and a number of members of the Board of Directors, means of cooperation between the public and private sectors.
In a statement, the association said that the meeting discussed a number of issues, the most important of which was the recruitment of nurses from abroad and an agreement to employ Jordanians in hospitals in exchange for work permits for foreign janitors.
Shamali underscored that the ministry will make efforts to resolve the challenges facing the private hospital sector.
The two sides agreed to hold another meeting to discuss the revitalization of medical tourism and resolve problems related to the renewal of licenses for foreign workers.
