Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament Ahmed Safadi honored the late King Hussein Bin Talal on his birth anniversary, remembering him as a wise leader who devoted himself to the progress of his country, remained committed to his nation, and fought for its rights, especially the Palestinian cause.

Safadi added on the Lower House's social media platforms: "After the late King Hussein, His Majesty King Abdullah II carried the banner of defending Palestine and the historical rights of its people, as a faithful guardian of Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian sanctities. In the face of brutal aggression, His Majesty is now the first defender of our people in Gaza."
