The Jordanian Darts Federation met with a selected group of experts including current and former darts players with the aim of forming a technical committee to supervise the organizational and legal aspects of the upcoming tournaments that the federation intends to launch in the near future.

The meeting, held at the federation headquarters, was attended by Mrs. Heba Sabbagh, the federation president, Dr. Mohamed Mattawee, the vice president, and former darts champions including Mr. Haitham Aziz, Mr. Basem Al-Yousef, Mr. Fayez Al-Jagheer, Mr. Assem Aziz, and Mr. Ashraf Al-Husseini. Mrs Sabbagh explained the efforts made to establish the federation and having a suitable headquarters under the generous sponsorship of businessman Mr. Raed Hamada, who provided significant support by furnishing the headquarters with up to date darts equipment and the necessary supplies.

The attendees reviewed the history of this sport, which extends back to the late 1960s, during which numerous friendly tournaments were held with the participation of foreign players. However, the absence of an overseeing official body led to its extension at the beginning of the new millennium. The gather emphasized on the need to form an organization that could support the development of the sport locally and internationally and to gather local experiences within a legal framework and work on attracting, nurturing, and refining talents for participation in local and international tournaments.

The attendees toured the federation facilities and played some friendly matches were they expressed their admiration for the excellent level the headquarters had reached.

It was agreed to form the technical committee from members of the expert panel. This committee will elect a chairman and distribute administrative roles among its members, then present it to the Federation's Board of Directors at the next session."
