Interior Minister Mazen al-Faraya on Tuesday met with the European Union’s election observation mission to review preparations for ensuring security during Jordan’s upcoming parliamentary elections.
Al-Faraya reaffirmed the government's neutral stance, noting that its involvement will be limited to logistical support while remaining impartial toward all candidates.
He highlighted the coordination between the Ministry of Interior and the Public Security Directorate to secure polling stations and vote-counting centers, ensuring voters can safely cast their ballots.
Talal al-Fayez, Director of the Civil Status and Passports Department, reported the completion of both legal and electronic voter lists, in line with regulations overseen by the Independent Election Commission.
The EU mission commended Jordan's preparations for the elections and acknowledged the Ministry's efforts to uphold election security.
