The Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates strongly condemned Israel’s ongoing aggression against Gaza, particularly the systematic targeting of civilians, with the latest incident involving the bombing of a mosque sheltering displaced people in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza. The attack killed and injured dozens of Palestinians.
Ministry spokesperson, Sufian Qudah, reiterated Jordan’s outright rejection of Israel's persistent violations of international law and humanitarian law.
He also denounced Israel’s continued war crimes and acts of genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza, especially amidst the absence of decisive international action to halt Israel's aggressive behavior and alleviate the humanitarian catastrophe faced by those in the besieged Gaza Strip.
Qudah warned of the grave risks posed to regional stability if Israel continues its relentless aggression on Gaza and Lebanon, alongside its ongoing violations in the West Bank and attacks on Palestinians in shelters and places of worship.
He stressed the urgent need for the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to take immediate and firm action to halt the aggression on Gaza, ensure protection for the Palestinian people, and hold those responsible for these crimes accountable.
Qudah emphasized that the continued Israeli breaches of international law demand a decisive global response to end the suffering of Gaza’s civilians.
