The Jordanian Marathon Association has announced a renewed partnership with Ayla Oasis Development Company to organize the 18th edition of the "Ayla Red Sea Half Marathon", set to take place on December 7.
The Association, known as Run Jordan, has successfully collaborated with the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority and Ayla in previous years to deliver this significant sporting event.
This initiative is part of their ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility, aimed at promoting sports and youth engagement while positioning Jordan as a key location for local, regional, and international competitions.
This year's marathon will feature three categories: a children’s race, a 10-kilometer race, and a 21-kilometer half marathon, catering to participants of various ages and abilities.
Run Jordan General Manager, Lina Al-Kurd, expressed enthusiasm about the strategic partnership with Ayla. She noted that the event continues to flourish, offering participants stunning natural scenery along the race route, which enhances their overall experience.
Sahl Dudin, CEO of Ayla Oasis Development Company, reiterated the organization's dedication to establishing this annual event as a sporting tradition. He highlighted the importance of supporting athletics and fostering a culture of health through community engagement. Dudin also pointed out Jordan's robust infrastructure for hosting large-scale sports events, which draws participants from both Jordan and abroad.
Furthermore, Dudin emphasized Ayla's ambition to position Aqaba as a prominent sports and tourism destination, equipped to host significant international competitions while showcasing the diverse tourism offerings in the region.
