Minister of Culture Mustafa Al-Rawashdeh said that the flag represents sovereignty, pride, dignity, and unity, bringing together the history of the nation under one banner.
He made the remarks during a lecture at the University of Jordan titled "The Historical Dimension / Memory of Intellectual Security,” as part of an awareness program organized by the Directorate of Education and Military Culture, in the presence of university president Dr. Nathir Obeidat and Brigadier General Dr. Saleh Al-Khalayleh.
Al-Rawashdeh emphasized Jordan’s role in promoting moderation and supporting Arab causes, especially the Palestinian cause, which he described as a shared national concern. He also highlighted the Hashemite custodianship over Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
He called on university students to strengthen dialogue, critical thinking, and national belonging, and to contribute to documenting the Jordanian narrative, which aims to preserve the country’s historical and cultural heritage through academic and public engagement across the Kingdom.
