Nayrouz Agency: It is hard to imagine the life of a celebrity being anything less than glamorous, but for some in the industry, the pace and pressure get to be too much. Believe it or not, some celebrities decided to give it all up in order to enjoy pursuits that are no different than the average person’s. In fact, many people don’t even realize they were once stars. Who are these celebrities and why would they leave the life of fame behind? Read on to find out.
Former Growing Pains actor Kirk Cameron was a rising star but left it behind after becoming a man of faith. Thus, it may come as no surprise that he has made a career out of being an evangelist, a title he may well cherish more than his two Golden Globe nominations.
Today, he is active with his ministry The Way of the Master, which he had founded with another evangelist named Ray Comfort. Together, they host a television program of the same name. On occasion, Cameron does make some appearances outside his evangelical show. For instance, in 2014, he starrred in the filmSaving Christmas.

Mara Wilson shined as a child actress. Even if you do not instantly recognize her name, you definitely know her from hit films likeMatilda, Mrs. Doubtfire, and Miracle on 34th Street. As promising as her acting career was, however, Mara Wilson has sincemoved on tosomething else.
For her, that something else is writing and philanthropy. Perhaps most impressive, she wrote a book about her child star experiences published in 2016. It is entitledWhere Am I Now?: True Stories of Girlhood and Accidental Fame.At the moment, Wilson works for a New York nonprofit called Publicolor, dedicated to promoting the positive affects of color in schools.
In 1988, young acress Danica McKellar began to play the precocious Winnie Cooper in the beloved seriesThe Wonder Years. It turns out that McKellar is quite brilliant and found herself another place to shine in the field of mathematics.While many might shy away from confronting large numbers and complex formulas, McKellar jumps right into them.

In fact, she graduated summa cum laude from UCLA with a degree in mathematics. Even more impressive, she helped a professor with a scientific paper—as an undergraduate! McKellar even published a number of math books, including the titles "Math Doesn’t Suck” and "Hot Algebra Exposed!” The former Winnie Cooper even managed to combine her knack for both mathematics and the small screen on her show ‘Math Bites’ on the Nerdist Channel.
Frankie Muniz was quite the star in the ’90s. While he played in numerous films and appeared in several shows over the course of his career, most know him most fondly as the titular character on the show Malcolm in the Middle. In fact, he received quite a bit of critical acclaim for his role in the show. He was even nominated for two Golden Globes and an Emmy.

Over the years, though, Frankie Muniz has revealed another incredible side to himself: he is a skilled race car driver. He even took a hiatus from acting to better focus on his racing career. In 2012, he competed in the Atlantic Championship. He is still racing today, though recently revealed that an accident caused him to suffer severe memory loss.
Andrea Barber played the lovable nuisance Kimmy Gibbler in the timeless ’90s sitcom Full House.She even returned as her original character to the set of Netflix’s much talked-about reboot, Fuller House.Barber also played Carrie Brady in Days of Our Lives.

Before getting in touch with her inner Gibbler once more, Barber pursued non-acting related endeavors. After Full House wrapped up, she attended Whittier College in California and graduated with a degree in English. She continued her education at the University of York in the UK, only to return to her alma mater to serve as the director of its international study program.
Mostly known for her roles on Saved by the Bell and the controversial Paul Verhoeven film Showgirls, Elizabeth Berkley became a Hollywood fixture in the 1990s. Though the latter tanked at the box office, it made Berkley a household name.

Berkley appeared on a number of films, TV shows and stage productions throughout the ’90s and ’00s, and was even a moderately successful Dancing with the Stars contestant. She’s also delved into writing, releasing her first book, a self help book by the name of Ask-Elizabeth, in 2011. Furthermore, Berkley also a tireless animal rights activist.
