Mohit stars in Al Turki win
Nayrouz News Agency :
MUSCAT: Mohit Patel’s superb 3 for 13 was the highlight of Al Turki NMC’s solid 8-wicket victory against winless AER in a Premier Division T20 League game under floodlight at OC Turf 1 in Amerat on Tuesday.

AER failed to capitalize on its decision to bat first, folding up for a dismal 80 in the 19 th over as Mohit, Mehran Khan (2 for 16) and Viren Patel (2 for 16) bowled exceptionally well to plot its demise.

It took Al Turki only 12.3 overs to surpass the total, scoring 84 for 2 for a comfortable win. Ajay Lalcheta (27) and Kail Khalid (22 not out) were its main scorers.

Brief scores (Premier Division T20): AER 80 all out in 18.4 overs (Afzal Khan 23 – 1x4. Mohit Patel 3-13, Mehran Khan 2-16, Viren Patel 2-16) lost to Al Turki NMC 84 for 2 in 12.3 overs (Ajay Lalcheta 27 – 5x4, Kail Khalid 22 not out – 1x4, 2x6) by 8 wickets.
