Orange Jordan Sponsors PSUT’s “Robots Line Follower” Event for Smart Solutions
Nayrouz News Agency :
Under its firm commitment to supporting local youth talent and capabilities, Orange Jordan sponsored the closing ceremony of the student competition titled "Robots Line Follower”, organized by the Robotics and Automation Society (RAS), a sub-branch of the IEEE Student Club at Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT), in which students competed to design and build fully autonomous robots entirely from scratch.
The competition stood out for its criteria, which aimed to stimulate creative thinking and encourage the development of technological solutions that go beyond conventional boundaries. These included complete autonomy in designing and programming each robot from scratch, while ensuring the uniqueness of every solution and prohibiting the use of pre-built robots or pre-assembled configurations.
In addition, the challenge focused on enhancing flexibility and adaptability by exposing participants to real-world challenges under pressure, requiring them to readjust and calibrate their robots’ algorithms to adapt to sudden, previously unannounced tracks during the elimination rounds.
Orange Jordan affirmed that this sponsorship aligns with its vision to foster a culture of digital innovation and strengthen the capabilities of the next generation of programmers and innovators, empowering them to transform their ambitious ideas into tangible projects and competitive technological solutions.
Furthermore, this challenge reflects the long-standing strategic partnership between the company and leading academic institutions to accelerate technological advancements in the Kingdom, while encouraging youth potential and their role in creating a positive, sustainable impact on society through their solutions.
It’s worth mentioning that the collaborative journey between Orange Jordan and PSUT extends far beyond supporting events and competitions. Both parties actively contribute to shaping the future of the digital economy and empowering Jordanian entrepreneurs. In this context, this strategic partnership contributed to the graduation of 14 startups from the second and third cohorts of the AI Incubator of the Orange Digital Center in 2025.
