Minister of Education Mohammad Abu Qudais on Thursday said that the ministry attaches great attention to training pre-service teachers to raise their competencies and performance levels due to their "pivotal" role in improving the educational process.
Speaking at the inauguration of the technical workshop for the steering committee of the USAID Pre-Service Teacher Education in Jordan, Abu Qudais highlighted the ministry's keenness to cover all its needs of qualified teachers to achieve the desired change in the teaching and learning process.
Abu Qudais said that the USAID programme embodies the joint efforts made by the ministry, US agency, the Queen Rania Teacher Academy and Jordanian universities, with the aim of raising teachers’ efficiency, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
