Nowruz News: The Tourism Promotion Authority organized today, Wednesday, in the presence of the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Nayef Al-Fayez, Father Antonios Abdel-Malik, head of the Coptic Orthodox sect in Jordan and the Director-General of the Jordan Tourism Board, Dr. This coincides with the visit of HRH Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II to the Arab Republic of Egypt and within the framework of the authority's efforts to market the Jordanian-Egyptian tourism product as a single tourist destination. Al-Fayez began his speech by referring to the important results of the Jordanian delegation's visit to Egypt, after the visit of His Highness the Emir, the Crown Prince to Egypt, where a memorandum of understanding and a program for joint cooperation was signed between the two governments, which will be translated into several executive programs between Egypt and Jordan in the near future. The Jordanian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities stressed the keenness of the ministry and the Tourism Promotion Authority to meet with the Egyptian private sector. Al-Fayez valued the holding of bilateral meetings between the Egyptian and Jordanian sides, considering that they are the most important ones that establish joint cooperation, which is reflected in the formulation of joint programs that serve the Egyptian and Jordanian brothers, through international visits by tourists from the two countries. For his part, Director General of the Tourism Promotion Authority, Dr. Abdel Razzaq Arabiyat, stressed the importance of holding the workshop and focusing on several aspects of interest to the Jordanian and Egyptian sides, noting that the authority is working to support joint marketing with Egyptian tourism offices by focusing on several aspects, including incentive tourism and Christian tourism to Jordan . Arabiyat also indicated that the visit of His Highness the Prince, the Crown Prince, contributed to overcoming all special obstacles, referring to several aspects that were discussed, noting the availability of Egyptian flights at low prices from Cairo to Amman and Aqaba, in addition to the presence of sea and land transport companies that will serve the process of transporting tourists at reasonable prices. Working according to Arabiyat to introduce the Egyptian tourism sector to the tourist sites in Jordan, and their importance in the global sphere, as this workshop was organized with the participation of 15 Jordanian travel and tourism offices and with the participation of Royal Jordanian Aviation. For his part, Father Anthony Abdel-Malik, head of the Coptic Orthodox sect in Jordan, explained and clarified the holy places and religious monuments that Jordan contains, including Mount Nebo, the Jordan River, Karak and the Baptism in which Jesus was baptized, the place in which Saint Mary lived, and many religious areas, following the path of the Holy Family. He called on everyone to visit these holy places, stressing that Jordan opens its arms to all.
