Nayrouz News Agency : Philadelphia University, represented by the College of Engineering and Technology, participated in the sixth and final general meeting of the IREEDER project, which was organized at Mutah University from 3/10/2022 to 4/10/2022. The IREEDER project aims to integrate topics needed by the labor market, which are renewable energy, Internet of things and cybersecurity in electrical engineering study plans by developing study courses and laboratories to raise the efficiency and skills of electrical engineering graduates and raise their competitiveness in the labor market. Participating in this meeting were Dr. Muhammad Bani Younes (Dean of the College of Engineering and Technology) and Eng. Sultan Al-Rashdan and Mr. Ahmed Al-Amouri. Over the course of two days, the project outcomes in the areas of teaching and training were reviewed through the development of curriculum content and laboratory equipment in the universities included in the supported project. After that, the percentage of completion of the project was reviewed and evaluated. The university also participated in the second introductory day of the project held on 10/5/2022, which included working sessions related to introducing the topics of renewable energy, Internet of things, cybersecurity and areas of work in the Jordanian market through speakers from participating universities. Which included an opening session and three scientific sessions related to the above topics aimed at introducing what has been accomplished in the project in terms of developing theoretical and practical laboratory courses and introducing the laboratories that have been established and which aim to enrich the practical and applied side of the courses. The prospects and needs of the local Jordanian market were also discussed in this The areas that graduates are expected to master to increase competitiveness in obtaining jobs. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Bani Younes, Dean of the College of Engineering and Technology, gave a speech at the opening session in which he spoke about the importance of the project in supplying the labor market with competencies and its positive impact on Jordanian universities in terms of developing their curricula, modernizing their laboratories and improving their global ranking. Dr. Hassan Al-Rifai/ College of Information Technology also spoke in the cyber security session about the cyber security market in Jordan and the fields of work for graduates. M spoke.
