Barakat Al-Zayoud - Hala Qabila, who graduated a month ago with a master's degree in space physics from Ural University in the Russian Federation, spends most of her time thinking about issues related to young stars, which is her field of research, adding that science alone is the key to understanding the universe to serve humanity.
From their place of residence in Madaba, tribes say that astronomy is ancient since man opened his eyes to the universe and I am one of those who are curious about it and everything that surrounds us, explaining that the term "young stars" means stars in their early stages of formation, which is the scientific field that Looking at it at length.
She added that she is fluent in English, Russian and Spanish, languages that have facilitated ways for her to deepen in the divergent knowledge of the specialization and its branches.
The specializations offered by Jordanian universities and published on the website of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research were searched, and it was found that Qabila is the first Jordanian to specialize in space physics and completed its requirements with an outstanding grade.
Hala confirmed that her study trip in Russia was very rich and unique, expressing her deep gratitude to every professor who gained her knowledge during her educational journey in this interesting and important scientific discipline, without losing sight of the merit of her mentors who helped her choose the "astrophysics" research.
She said: "I studied astrophysics, celestial mechanics, stellar astronomy, stellar statistics method, Earth and planetary physics, interstellar physics and radio astronomy, general astrometry, theoretical astrophysics methods, history and methodology of astronomy, theory of movement of celestial bodies, and systems Satellites, remote sensing, astrochemistry, star clusters, and modern telescopes, in addition to intensive training in pedagogy and research, and accompanying astronomers working in observatories, research centers and institutes.
The tribes passed a two-month training in astrophysics in the field of observation at the Kurovka Astronomical Observatory in the Russian Urals, and participated in the summer school organized by the California Institute of Technology under the slogan "Variable Stars".
She also passed the Science Writing Course from Stanford University, an invited participant in astrophysics symposia by the Sternberg Astronomical Institute of Moscow State University, and a participant in the Astrophysical Journal Club of the Institute of Cosmology at the University of Barcelona, Spain, and she is currently attending a computer science course from Harvard University. Statistics course from the University of Canterbury, UK.
The tribes are currently participating in training for observation in the 2.5 m telescope of the Russian Sternberg Institute located in the Russian Caucasus, and the program aims to observe young stars and master data processing.
She explained that the research on young stars revolves around studying the evolutionary stages of early stars and the way their brightness changes over time, pointing out that this helps in understanding how stars and galaxies are formed.
