Today, Monday, in the presence of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Hunaiti, the activities of the Middle East Special Operations Leaders Conference (MESOC) were launched in the Special Economic Zone / Aqaba, with the participation of 38 countries and more than 300 companies specialized in the manufacture of defense equipment and weapons.

The conference comes in light of the technological and technical development and the rapid progress in the defense industries around the world.

The conference opened at the Intercontinental Hotel / Aqaba, in the presence of a number of senior officers of the Jordanian Armed Forces, brotherly and friendly countries, official figures and decision-makers from around the world, as well as representatives of local and international media at the local and international levels.

The conference began with the playing of the Jordanian royal anthem, and the Director General of the Jordanian Center for Design and Development, Director General of the Special Operations Equipment Exhibition and Conference Company - SOFEX, Brigadier Engineer Ayman Al-Batran gave a speech in which he praised the support provided by the Jordanian Armed Forces to the conference.

He said, "The SOFEX Conference and Exhibition is held to be a specialist in special operations equipment, homeland security and defense industries technology, and provides a platform for the participation of decision-makers, leaders and military officials to exchange practical and theoretical experiences and transform opportunities into real partnerships to neutralize future threats."

During the opening, three sessions were held under the name of the Middle East Special Operations Leaders Conference (MESOC), through the leaders of the special operations of a number of brotherly and friendly armed forces, which included many axes that aimed to unify concepts and the mechanism of action in combating international terrorism and how to deal with it according to strategic plans. International and expanding areas of cooperation within the global special operations community using modern warfare methods.

It is noteworthy that the Middle East Special Operations Commanders Conference MESOC is the official event of the Jordanian Special Operations Forces Exhibition and Conference (SOFEX). Speakers provide detailed presentations, debates, exchange views and find solutions to current challenges facing countries around the world.

The exhibition "SOFEX 2022" specialized in defense industries and special operations equipment will open on Tuesday morning and will last for three days in Aqaba Governorate, with the participation of companies from the most prominent manufacturers of weapons and defense equipment in the world.
