The Jordan men's national basketball team has commenced their training in Manila, the capital of the Philippines, for the Basketball World Cup's 19th edition, which will commence on Friday.
The tournament will be co-hosted by the Philippines, Japan, and Indonesia.
During a press conference held on Thursday, Coach Wesam Al-Sous expressed his delight in being the first local coach to lead the national team in the World Cup, adding that the players are in high spirits and eagerly anticipating the start of the competitions.
Next Saturday, the Falcons will play their debut match against Greece in the third group competition, which also includes the United States and New Zealand, said national team player Zaid Abbas, who expressed his joy in participating in the World Cup for the third time throughout his career.
