The Russian presidency on Tuesday warned Israel against launching a ground attack in the Gaza Strip, indicating that there is a threat of expanding the conflict in the Middle East.

"President Vladimir Putin will discuss the situation in the Middle East with Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the Belt and Road Forum," Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said in a press conference.
