Armouti praised the honorable stances of Pakistan during the most difficult circumstances, including the act of the Pakistani pilot, Saif ul-Deen al-Azam during the June 1967 war.
In 1967, the Pakistani pilot Saif ul-Deen al-Azam was in Jordan on a mission to train Jordanian air force pilots, when the Arab-Israeli war broke out, he accompanied the Jordanian pilots to the Habbaniyah base in Iraq after that Israel has bombed Jordanian airports. Saif ul-Deen flew the Hawkerhuntar from there and dropped three Israeli jets in air combat with advanced Israeli jets in three days… Saif ul-Deen became the only pilot in the world who dropped three (Zionist) jets within 72 hours during air-to-air combat, and that record still exists to this day.
Saif ul-Deen is the only pilot in the world flew aircrafts from three different air forces, namely Pakistan, Jordan and Iraq.
